New Masquerade blog skin

Welcome to the new year of the dog. My blog also has new skin. My special thanks to blogskin.com for such beautiful template (^_^)
The idea of Masquerade skin according to me is some kind similar to the quote “What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us”
In reality, we hardly express ourselves. We are afraid of hurting others feelings. We are making a mask for our feelings, our real emotions. The world of masquerade and the real world are mix together. Real and unreal, reality and fantasy. What if we have the chance to express our true selves under the paper masks rather than hide our feelings behind the invisible masks?

Funny Mona Lisa

Portrait of Mona Lisa, painted by Leonardo da Vinci between 1503 and 1506.It’s is in Louvre Museum, Paris , France.
There are some emotion faces of Mona Lisa. All the work is copyright CSI.France
Nomal

With disdain

Disappointed

Most happy

Disgusted

Frightened

Merry

Surprised

Aggressive

It showed very clear the emotions through people face. No wonder in Japanese anime, the head(face, especially eyes) of the characters always far too big compare to the body
Comes and have a try The interactive Mona Lisa - Mona Lips-synch - Exhibition Images in Paris - Cité des Sciences, France

The Movie Of Your Life Is A Cult Classic

Quirky, offbeat, and even a little campy - your life appeals to a select few.
But if someone's obsessed with you, look out! Your fans are downright freaky.

Your best movie matches: Office Space, Showgirls, The Big Lebowski

What Kind of Soul Are You?

You Are a Visionary Soul

You are a curious person, always in a state of awareness.
Connected to all things spiritual, you are very connected to your soul.
You are wise and bright: able to reason and be reasonable.
Occasionally, you get quite depressed and have dark feelings.

You have great vision and can be very insightful.
In fact, you are often profound in a way that surprises yourself.
Visionary souls like you can be the best type of friend.
You are intuitive, understanding, sympathetic, and a good healer.

Souls you are most compatible with: Old Soul and Peacemaker Soul

Nokia Lamour Collection

Nokia just released a new mobile phone collection name ‘L’Amour’ (Lover) with N 7360, N 7370, N7380. They are in 2 colors: Coffee Brown and Warm Amber. The design is so cool and I think it’s more suitable for ladies than men.Two female designers did a prefect jobs to create a design combine European and Asian spirits into one.
You can check it out at http://www.nokia-asia.com/nokia/0,,81269,00.html
The flash is terrific too. I love the flower status while our computer downloading the contents and how the designers explain their inspiration. From so many idea and texture, art… they made their own design so lovely
However, I think their design is a pretty similar to Henna Art in my previous post. I believe there should be some connection between them. Look at the flower in the phone. Their decoration style is really similar to Henna Art

Henna Tattoo art

Mehendi (Henna Tattoo, also known as Mehndi) is an ancient Indian Body Art. It is used in creating intricate ethnic or contemporary designs and exotic patterns on various parts of the body, though traditionally applied to the hands and feet of women preparing for special ceremonies. It is completely natural, non-permanent and painless.
Painless temporary tattoos – Cool – Fun - No needles (it is natural paste) so no worry about AIDS or any disease. The paint will fade after 1-4weeks (4 week is in case you don’t have a bath everyday (^_^))
Here are some websites that will give us the design, if you have good drawing skill, you can made one for your own and friend
I tried it, it’s really cool.

Website in 24h

This is the website I made for my friends in Internet for Business class.I made the web in 1 day (kind of hurry huh?) including web design, make web by dream weaver, Javascript, CSS.It is really simple. I choose the #a1092f to make the website active, full of energy, hot but still have its deep thought(another reason is my friends doesn’t like cold color and they had seen so many website in dark green, navy or black). I also include grey, black, and pink to make it less simple or my web will be come a boring bunch of text.
The links are in white but when viewer hover over them, the color will turn to grey, the same color with the top square grey box.

International Animation Festival Annecy 2005

Last week I went to IDECAF to attend International Animation Festival. It’s really interesting with many type of animation: 3D, paper cut, mix between real photo and animation. Below are some picture of the movie that were showed in the festival

These short films brought me strong impressions . Except 'The Angry Kids', all these films brought me the uncomfortable emotions (kinds of unhappy or sad)

The movie I like most is ‘Over time’ by Atlan Oury, Berland Thibaut and Ferrie Damien
That short movie is about “The little rag dolls find their creator dead in his studio. They do not understand what is going on but try to continue their lives” got the prize ‘Award for best school or graduation film ’
The first impression of me to the movie was the rag doll creator was look alike my grand father who passed away 2 years ago. I felt like I saw his death, I felt like I was one of those puppets. I couldn’t accept the truth that my creator was no longer in this world. However, the more I tried to live with him, the more emptiness I would have. Now, he became the puppet of his puppets

Science fun or Tricks of eyes

The original picture is in Singapore Science Centre
The picture can be seen upside down. I am wondering how would the do that? Are there any conditions or methods to make the picture can be seen upside down?

Another cool technique is in NHK TV studio(Japan).Every one is given a magnetic board. It’s just have black and white strips. But when people look in a mirror, they will see a characters(in 3D form) in every magnetic card.

Photos from Japan

Hi, my friend just returned from Japan and gave me some interesting materials for design ideas. I would like to share some of them with you.(I already ask for her permission for posting these images but plz dont copy without asking me)

Can you guess what this caution is about?
This is the notice in MRT (like underground train). I like it because it is not like other notice which is very simple figure(I dont mean simple figure isnt good, it's standardlized but i just wanna find something new). I think it has the same style as manga and anime which are famous over the world. It’s Funny but Precisely.

This is the wall painting from an art student in Shokan University. When you look closer there is a door. However, I don’t wanna talk about door but the contrast sceneries in the fan. I think both are about spring. The butterflies and the sakura petals seem like flying out of the picture.

This is the notice in the special MRT train only for women (in order to prevent perverts and sexual harassments) it’s lovely with white text over red background and some pink flowers. It’s really girly and show that it’s only for girl (^_^ I love that!!!)

It’s almost the end of the semester. Assignments after assignments then come Final exam. Some time I picture myself as a tired, unhappy own. I like pink and I will definitely go to heaven if I won’t kill anyone for the next 60 years(& If I can live that long(^_^))

Chinese Constellation in Fushigi Yuugi anime

One of my favorite anime is Fushigi Yuugi
I did a small search on the internet about the 4 great countries in that anime and I came up with this thing that is related to Chinese constellation (the four holy animals)

- Seiryuu (Azure Dragon) for East
- Suzaku (Vermillion Bird) South
- Byakko (White Tiger) for West
- Genbu (Black Tortoise) for North

Book cover

I just feel like using dark brown for my cover. My sister told me it’s look boring and so typical.I just want it look like Vietnamese. The panorama picture for the cover presents a long and relax sight to the end of the sky.

Telling lies Vs. Today is a gift

I love the meaning of the two quotes.(Sorry for the author of for upload these)
You can come to my friend blog at 360 yahoo

He made good posts about these quote.I am really touched when read these posts.
I just want to highlight the use of color and text arrange. The text is arranged from small to big vertically. The color also change from light to dark – that applied for text in the 1st quote and background in the 2nd

My little devil

This is the photo of my little devil at Binh Quoi. He looked straight to the camera and smiled like a pro model (^_^). I love that photo but still want to process it some how for a new inter textual mean.
NO horror effect like “abstract exercises” please, most of them all bring the feeling of death, scary things (I mean the picture of the little girl in bath room, what she did wrong so all the abstract make her looks like a ghost ????).
You don’t wanna hear the model cry when he sees the after effect photos, do you?
